Blizzard announces Starcraft trilogy

Blizzard has dropped a bombshell and announced that the much anticipated release of Starcraft 2 will actually be released as a trilogy.

It has been a number of years since Blizzard first announced that they were releasing a sequel to Starcraft, one of the most popular RTS games of all time. Starcraft is so popular in Korea that tournaments are televised and when the new game is released it will be a national holiday.

Instead of targeting all 3 different races in one release, Blizzard has said that there will be 3 releases all targeting just one race each.

The reason behind the change of plan is that it will allow for more detailed and elaborate campaigns. There is still no word on a release date.
